Eglise Saint-Etienne de Lavazan à Lavazan
The church of this former barony dates back to the Romanesque period. What remains is the nave, which is of a regular middle section with round-headed windows, and the semi-circular apse, the structure of which is hidden by recent plasterwork. Neither the apse nor the nave was vaulted.
At the end of the Gothic period, the apse was given a star-shaped vault ending in a key decorated with the crown of thorns.
In the 19th century, the nave of the church was covered by a false plaster vault, and a bell tower-porch was added to the west façade. Inside, under the roof of the chevet, there is a rectangular opening. This could have been a small protective recess, where villagers in the Middle Ages could take refuge. It was accessed by a wooden ladder.
