Village de Captieux to Captieux
Captieux is a stopover on the route to Santiago de Compostela and an integral part of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park.
Lac de Taste is the perfect place for a family walk, a spot of fishing on the pontoon or a picnic by the water. In summer, several days of sporting activities for all ages are organised, including paddle boarding, tree climbing, canoeing, orienteering and pony trekking. As you leave the lake, be sure to check out the work of art known as “Le Pavillon”, located along the route of the Forêt d’Art Contemporain.
The town regularly comes alive with its weekly Monday market near the church, the Rugby y toros feria in June and the Fête des Bœufs Gras in February.
A cinema and a cultural centre, where numerous shows are staged, make Captieux a great place to live all year round.
