Graphic works and heritage Exhibition made available by the town of Anglet.

While readers of Bernard Manciet, the great Occitan poet, novelist, essayist, short-story writer and literary magazine editor, will be familiar with the drawings illustrating his collections, such a collection had never been brought together before: sketches taken from life in pencil, academic nudes, large-scale portraits, paintings, calligraphic abstractions in Soulages-style Indian ink… Bernard Manciet produced several hundred drawings over a quarter of a century, all steeped in emotions and personal memories. The exhibition Au Pays de l’esquive brings to life more than 150 works from a dozen private collections, plus those of the town of Anglet.

Exhibition opening on Friday November at 6.30pm.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2.30pm to 6pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 6pm. Sunday 22 September from 3 pm to 6 pm.
