Not a day goes by when the killjoys, the pessimists, the defeatists and the moralists don’t proclaim that our civilisation is sick, that it is dying, that it is dead and that it won’t be long before we are too. Doctrinaire American scientists have even set the date of our burial at 2040, without specifying whether the earth will still exist at that time.
It’s perfectly true that our societies don’t look too good. The West has fallen out of favour and France is unravelling miserably. Is this curse inevitable? Is our society doomed to disappear soon? What are the causes of this decline? Can it still be stopped?
From 9 January to 13 April, Florence Mothe will be devoting 14 lectures to this serious problem, trying to explain how we got here and what the way out is.
