Rollerblading : Chavat Park in Podensac to Podensac

Stage 1

Enter through the large gate and turn right. After 200 m, turn right along a narrow path to reach the long driveway bordered by a balustrade. From here there is a beautiful view of the Garonne and the village of Rions on the opposite bank. At the end of the driveway, turn left towards the château.

Stage 2

Walk around it and continue straight ahead along the main path; stay on this path and turn left. A hundred metres further on, you can go down to the left to see the superb statuary "The Mystery of Life" by Ernesto Gazzeri (1866-1965). Retrace your steps and turn left again to complete the walk.

The exceptional parkland, planted with cedars, redwoods, magnolias, etc… is filled with numerous remarkable statues. Bequeathed to the municipality, Parc Chavat has been the commune’s public garden since 1999.
