Enjoy a birdwatching holiday in the heart of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park, surrounded by water birds and thousands of grey cranes. Accompanied by Christophe Troquereau, a passionate nature guide, you will visit the unmissable Le Teich bird park and the Captieux moors. Among the star species you’ll be able to spot are Brent Geese, Pintails, Grey Cranes, Peregrine Falcons, Black-tailed Godwits, Cetti’s Warblers and Yellow Sparrows. Your base camp will be ideally located in Captieux, at the Ferme des Filles, an organic farm occupying a traditional airial and pretty woodland gîtes.

Highlights of the weekend:

Day 1 | A warm welcome at the end of the day from the girls at Ferme des Filles and Christophe Troquereau.

Day 2 | A warm welcome at the end of the day from the girls at Ferme des Filles and Christophe Troquereau.

Day 2 | Get up early! Christophe will take you to the Ornithological Reserve of Le Teich towards the shores of the Bay of Arcachon where you will observe maritime species. Depart mid-afternoon to return to Captieux and stake out on the edge of the Camp to witness the return of the cranes to their dormitory.
