Located 40 minutes from Bordeaux, in the heart of Sauternes, Château Guiraud, the first of the 1st Grands Crus Classés in 1855 to obtain AB certification (2011), has been welcoming visitors in search of great wines and nature for over 30 years.
As soon as they arrive on the ancient Gallo-Roman road lined with 181 plane trees, visitors can take in the breathtaking view over the 128 hectares of the wine estate. From novices to experienced enthusiasts, everyone is invited to discover the pioneering approach of the château, which places biodiversity at the heart of its thinking and action. From a stroll through the vines to an introduction to permaculture in the vegetable garden, from a tour of the cellars to a tasting of the estate’s wines, the Château Guiraud team is ready to listen to its guests and tailor a visit that’s just right for them.
